4th Inning (Bottom)

Fegely stands in to try and help her own cause - sow grounder to 1st - fielded by Granite - flipped to Parsons coveroing the bag for out #1.  Katrina Hughes will bat - caught looking at strike 3 on the outside corner.  Sophomore Dalickas stands in from the left side - long fly ball to center - Jasa Mitchell retreats to make the nice grab for out #3.

Meghan Granite will lead off - infield hit in front of the ss.  Megan Shaw will try to help her own cause - grounds out to the 1st baseman Eisenhart to Shoemaker covering 1st - Granite goes to 2nd.  Janelle Poorman to bat - caught looking at strike 3 on the outside corner.  Margaret Rougeux now batting - high heater for a swinging strike 3.  BEA still stymied by Fegely.

5th Inning (Bottom)

Leanda Helms stands in - E5 - Bullets get a base runner to work with late in the game.  Alyssa Neimeyer will run for Helms.  Trewella will bat - infield single in front of ss - runners at 1st and 2nd.  Abbey Hordendorf will bat - still nobody out - called third strike again on the outside corner.  Jill Guldin now batting from the left side - E4 - bases loaded.  Infield pulls in against Eisenhart to try and prevent the run from scoring - slow grounder to Glunt at third - takes it home to record the second out and prevent the run.  Amanda Shoemaker will bat - humpback liner to Cortney Switzer at SS who makes the grab - the Eagles dodge a big bullet from the Bullets to keep it scoreless.

Cortney Switzer leads off - strikes out.  Taylor Parsons singles up the middle.  Lily Glunt stands in - nice bunt down the 1st base line - Parsons moves up to 2nd - sac bunt - 2 outs.  Jasa Mitchell drills one up the middle to score Parsons from second - Mitchell advances to 2nd on the throw home.  Klinefelter singles to right - scores Mitchell from 2nd - BEA now up by 2 with 2 out - runner at 1st.  Meghan Granite will bat - Kiendra Giedroc will run for Klinefelter - grounds out to ss Hordendorf but the damage is done - Eagles up 2-0.

6th Inning (Bottom)

Fegely will face her counterpart Shaw - line drive to Parsons at 2nd - one out.  Katrina Hughes to face Shaw - grounder to 1st - off Granite's glove to Parsons - back to Granite covering the bag - nice play for out #2.  Dalickas will bat - smashes a ball to the warning track in right for a stand up triple.  Leanda Helms to bat - grounds to Parsons at 2nd who throws to Granite at 1st to record the 3rd out - BEA maintains the 2-0 lead.

Chelsea Trewella will try to get it started for the Bullets - check swing - strike 3 - one out.  Abbey Hordendorf will try against Shaw - grounder to Switzer at ss - on to Granite at 1st for out #2.  Guldin hits the first pitch from Shaw to Switzer at ss - on to Granite to record the final out.

 

BEA shuts out the previously unbeaten Bullets of Brandywine Heights to win the state championship 2-0!!!!!!!
